I have thought at least a million times since my last post
to sit down and get back on track with my blog but here I am finally getting to
it thanks to my wonderful hubby Bry for getting me a FABULOUS way too fancy for
me camera to give me motivation to really start tracking Liams growth and our
life again.
I obviously since my last post ended my struggle with not
being pregnant which then moved to a very extremely stressed out and very hot
and sweaty pregnant me for 38 1/2 weeks before I finally after 12 hours of
labor, 3 hours of pushing, 2 panic attacks and very prepared nurse with a hot
pink hand held fan that saved my life, gave birth to this precious soul of life
that immediately within seconds made me happier than I ever knew was possible
and also made me more stressed out than I ever knew was possible!
Being a mom has been a way larger adjustment for me than I
ever thought! The biggest adjustment is I have always been a bit of an
impulsive person, if I wanted to go somewhere, work somewhere, do something, do
nothing, do everything, well I did. Oh my Goodness though, loading a car seat
and lugging it around and having enough formula and this and that well...it
certainly has flipped my whole world around!
Enough about boring old me! I will summarize as best as I
can Liam through the weeks!
Week 1- This was maybe the worst week of Bryan and I's life,
yep I said it "worst". I won't sugar coat it, we were both very
underslept, very helpless, very hungry, & very apparently out of shape he
loved for us to hold him with our arms all the way extend out FOREVER! It
amazes me how newborns sleep literally almost all day but yet we were still so
tired, it is a weird science to say the least!
Week 2- Was a sweet little honeymoon week, we finally got a
full nights sleep (Thanks Mom) We finally got a little routine down where we
took turns with baby! Life was good!
Week 3- All hell broke loose, Bryan went back to work and
the colic fairy decided to visit for a while!
Week 4/5- The colic fairy decided to extend her stay to
which I struggled with many headaches and got just about no laundry/cleaning
accomplished BUT we did find out that Drakes song "Hold On, Were Going
Home" helped LOADS to calm you down! He freaked my out by sleeping for 8
hours straight one night but it was the beginning of a beautiful thing as we
had accidentally actually managed to get Liam on a sleeping schedule very early
in life! His evening routine went
play, eat, go on a walk, play, bath, eat, KNOCKOUT!
Week 6- Liam loves walks and the outdoors in general so much
we decided to go on one everyday, weather permitting of course!
Week 7/8- While Liams Colic had subsided something still
wasnt right and we began working with his ped. to start changing his diet to
help! He really started becoming his own person in these weeks, liking
particular songs, making particular faces, noises, interacting so much more and
really kind of liking being held in a bunch of wacky positions!
Week 9/10- Liam is getting so interactive with people and
objects. He can hold his head up on his own and was so excited to get turn
around and face out in the baby carrier! Some of his favorite things include
mirrors, mobiles, and he LOVES when you point out his nose, cheeks, ears, chin
& toes while poking/tickling him it is maybe the cutest thing I have ever
seen!
Well thats the best your going to get from me for a catch up
post but I promise the posts will be so much better from now on and I'm off to
start week 11 with my new camera in hand to capture all the best moments of
this very silly, very amazing, very sweet boy!
